The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday adjourned a suit by the 12 detained aides of a Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, to Wednesday, August 4.
First News gathered that eight out of the twelve aides were produced by the DSS in the court and that there was confusion over the suspects’ name.
Justice Obiora Egwuatu, before the adjournment, however, allowed the applicants’ lawyer, Pelumi Olagbenjesi, leave to correct the names of the applicants.
First news had reported that the Department of the State Service (DSS) has produced Sunday Igboho’s aides in court.
This came after a fresh order issued by the court that the detainees be produced in court on Monday.
Justice Egwuatu had on July 29 issued a fresh order following an appeal by the DSS counsel, Mr Idowu Awo, that the agency is given today to comply with the order.
Igboho’s house in Oyo State was raided by the DSS operatives on July 1.
