Police detain Singer Portable over G-Wagon debt

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been detained by the Lagos State Police Command.

It was learnt that the singer was arrested on the 14th of May, 2024 as a result of his purported failure to settle the debt he incurred from buying a G-Wagon from an auto dealer in the state.

It has been learnt that the “Brotherhood crooner” paid only N13 million for the car, even though it was valued at N27 million.

According to reports, he declined to pay the remaining N14 million.

The singer was taken into custody after the auto dealer notified the matter to the police.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police has confirmed the arrest.
