Finidi George unveiled as Super Eagles coach, assisted by Amokachi others

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially introduced former Ajax star Finidi George as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Monday, marking the confirmation of Finidi’s appointment, which was announced two weeks earlier.

While the specifics of Finidi’s contract were not disclosed at the time of his initial appointment, he signed his contract during the unveiling event.

The ceremony was presided over by NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau, and attended by Sports Minister John Enoh.

In addition to Finidi George’s appointment, the NFF also revealed the coaching staff that will assist him in his new role. Former Super Eagles teammate Daniel Amokachi, along with Benjamin James, a former Shooting Stars player based in Germany, will serve as assistants to Finidi.

Other members of the coaching team include Mehmet Ozturk, who will provide analytical support, and fitness trainer Chima Onyeike, based in the Netherlands, with experience working in various European countries.

Additionally, Olatunji Baruwa will return as the goalkeeper trainer, bringing his expertise to the team.

The unveiling of Finidi George as the Super Eagles coach marks a new chapter for Nigerian football, as the team prepares for upcoming challenges under his leadership.
