The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied reports that Nigerian social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), was arrested.
Earlier reports on the 30th of June, 2024, claimed that he was detained by Nigerian Police operatives for allegedly exposing a criminal act.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, clarified that Verydarkman was only invited for questioning.
She explained that VDM was questioned about allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and defamation of character, and was released immediately after providing a statement regarding the accusations made against him by an individual.
