Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, has acknowledged claims that his female colleagues, Tems and Ayra Starr, are outperforming him in the music industry.
Recall that recently, Odumodublvck stated on a podcast that Tems and Ayra Starr have contributed more to the Nigerian music industry than Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, and Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Burna Boy.
He argued that being a successful female artist is the toughest job in the world, a statement that sparked backlash.
In response to the criticism, Odumodublvck posted on his X account: Kalaaaa, Industry machine,” eulogising himself and seemingly mocking his trolls.
Quoting the post, Wizkid wrote, “Kala no lie”, suggesting Odumodublvck’s claims on the podcast weren’t false.
However, An X user then wrote under Wizkid’s post: “So Ayra Starr and Tems are better than you. I’m glad you used your mouth to say Odumodu is not lying.”
“I see u weren’t raised by a good woman and love at home. Ayra Star and Tems are amazing, ”Wizkid replied.
