Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has hailed the legendary producer and music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, fondly called Don Jazzy, referring to him as an “amazing” being.
This praise, however, comes after their recent fallout on social media.
The conflict began when Wizkid shaded Don Jazzy after his signee Ladipoe seemingly ridiculed him on X for claiming that “hip hop is dead.”
Recall that a fan alerted Wizkid to the post, prompting Wizkid to respond, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer.
He also retweeted tweets suggesting he referred to Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records boss, as an influencer.
However, Don Jazzy reacted by unfollowing Wizkid on Instagram.
Meanwhile, it appears they have reconciled, as Don Jazzy recently appreciated Wizkid for endorsing his signee Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, “The Year I Turned 21.”
On the 20th of June, 2024, Wizkid took to his X account to hail Don Jazzy, describing him as an “amazing human.”
