More knocks appear coming the way of US President, Donald Trump, as Google-owned YouTube temporarily suspended his channel.
The media platform, as gathered, also removed a video on Trump’s channel for violating its policy against inciting violence.
With the development, YouTube has joined other social media platforms that banned Trump’s account following the riot that occurred in Capitol.
Trump had used the social media as megaphone during his presidency but had been cut off after the violent mob of his supporters stormed the Capitol in Washington DC last week.
A statement by YouTube on the development, said, “In light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J. Trump’s channel for violating our policies.”
It also said it has “temporarily prevented from uploading new content for a ‘minimum’ of 7 days,” the statement read.
The video-sharing platform also said it will be “indefinitely disabling comments” on Trump’s channel because of safety concerns.
