Massive fire engulfs Christ Embassy headquarters in Lagos (Video)

A devastating fire broke out at the Christ Embassy headquarters located in the Oregun area of Lagos on Sunday morning, leaving the white building engulfed in flames and emitting thick black smoke.

Emergency responders from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service swiftly arrived at the scene to combat the inferno.

FirstNews reports that the fire prompted a rapid response from the local authorities, who cordoned off the area to maintain public safety and prevent any potential disruptions.

Both vehicular and pedestrian traffic along the affected street were temporarily halted to facilitate firefighting efforts.

According to worshippers on the scene, the morning service scheduled at the headquarters was immediately relocated to Cornerstone, an annex of the church, due to the intensity of the blaze.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be officially determined, some attendees speculated that it may have originated from an electrical spark.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Christ Embassy, led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, is renowned as one of Nigeria’s largest and most influential churches. The headquarters fire has sparked concerns among its members and the wider community, as efforts continue to bring the situation under control and assess the extent of the damage.
