The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Dr. Ibijoke on Saturday exercise their citizenship right by casting their vote at their polling unit in 08 Eti-Osa at Ikoyi/Obalende, Lagos.
The governor was accompanied by some security details to exercise his constitutional right.
FirstNews had reported that low turnout had greeted the voting exercise in the state.
It was gathered that some of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission arrived late at their polling units while others were prompt.
Recall that Lagos state government had announced restriction of movement across the state between 8a.m. and 3p.m. on Saturday, to enable a hitch-free conduct of elections into positions of chairmen and councillors in all the state’s 57 LGAs and LCDAs.
