…says ‘we had no money, no support, only dreams’
Nigeria’s foremost pop crooner, David Adeleke, fondly called Davido, has recounted the period in his life when he was cash-strapped and had no support.
The billionaire musician revealed this via his Instagram page on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Davido wrote, “Damn I went to my old apartments where I used to live 12 years ago with Sina and B red!!! As hard as it is to believe … we had no money … no support just us and a dream !! 12 years later! We millions in! Road to a billion 💵!!! We thank God !! Never stop believing !!”
The father of three is the son of billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Adedeji Adeleke.
The Star musician studied at Oakwood College in Alabama for just a year before quitting.
He later attended Babcock University in Nigeria, where he eventually bagged a degree in Music.
Davido came to limelight in 2011, after he dropped the hit single, ‘Dami Duro.’
He is the most followed Nigerian artiste on both Instagram and Twitter.
The ‘Fem’ crooner stated in a recent interview that he has plans to dive into the murky water of politics.
