Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday hosted the amazing and talented filmmakers, Ikorodu Bois.
The number one citizen of Lagos State, who shared this via a post on his Twitter handle said, “Today (Monday), I welcomed generational filmmaking talent @IkoroduB, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY.”
Sanwo-Olu hailed their achievements including their recent New York Times Square feature.
The governor also said that the state remained committed to developing creative talents.
“As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today. We are committed to developing creative talent in Lagos as we continue to serve as the premier destination for musical, art and creative talent generation in Africa,” he said.
The Ikorodu bois comprise three brothers and a cousin. They started skit making in 2017 and has been doing great. Also, they have gained international recognition, making funny videos and imitating peoples’ character and so on.
