The hashtag #BuhariMustGo is currently trending on the social media platform, Twitter, as some Nigerians took to their handles to narrate disturbing issues in the country.
Among the issues for which the citizens are demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari must go include vexed issues of insecurity, injustice and police brutality.
Human rights activist and RevolutionNow Convener, Omoyele Sowore in his tweet on his official Twitter handle -@yelesowore- said, “A Governor is not safe in his home state, Nigerians are not safe in their farms, students are not safe in their classrooms, our people are not safe in worship places, travellers are not safe on our roads, the workplace is unsafe for workers #BuhariMustGo”
Earlier, he wrote, #FreeTundeAbass @policeng must free him now! He filmed brutal police officers, obviously, the Nigerian police hasn’t learnt their lessons from #Endsars, don’t worry, #Endsarsll X 100 is coming! #BuhariMustGo #RevolutionNow.
Tunde Abass was reportedly arrested by the police after he was caught filming police brutalising Nigerians.
Another Twitter user, Towolawi Jamiu, @jharmo wrote:
“@TUNDEAbass10 is still being held by DPO of Onipanu @PoliceNG Station despite being granted bail. The lawless act and impunity that is the hallmark of @MBuhari regime must stop! We demand his immediate and unconditional release. @PoliceNG_CRU #BuhariMustGo”.
Also writing, RevolutionaryAy -@AyRevolutionary- wrote, “Today is Monday and #BuhariMustGo can happen today. Nigerians am ready when you are.”
Another user with the handle, @General_Somto said, “Fulani Herdsmen Tried To Assassinate Gov Ortom A Sitting Governor And Even Claimed Responsibility For It Yet FG & DSS Have Remained Silent On This. Meanwhile, One MUMU In The South Is Shouting One Nigeria. Instead Of Saying #BuhariMustGo Call For The Disintegration Of Nigeria.”
Also, @Ewajesutomilola wrote, “Delaying justice is tantamount to denying justice. We no longer want a Nigeria where terrorists are being negotiated with while Protesters are prosecuted! #BuhariMustGo”
