Unknown gunmen kill village head in Taraba

Residents of Usmanu Village in the Karim-Lamido local government area of Taraba State are in mourning following the tragic murder of their village head by unknown gunmen.

He said, “I was called from Usmanu Village that the village head, HRH Auwal, was killed by unknown gunmen.

“The people in the village have deserted the community while running for their lives.

“As we speak, security agencies are in the village to ensure calm and normalcy return.”

This loss is compounded by the recent killing of the deceased’s younger brother, further deepening the community’s anguish and sorrow.

The circumstances surrounding the attacks remain unclear, and authorities are actively investigating the incidents.
