South-East govs meet in Enugu amid rising insecurity, calls for Nnamdi Kanu’s release

The South-East governors and stakeholders are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Enugu State Government House.

This meeting is primarily focused on addressing the pressing issues confronting the region, including the ongoing insecurity challenges exacerbated by gunmen’s activities.

Additionally, the meeting is likely addressing the calls for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In attendance are all five South-East governors, prominent traditional rulers such as the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, and other influential figures from the zone.

The meeting is pivotal as it seeks to strategize and find solutions to the current issues affecting the South-East region.
