Presidential aide offers reassurance after Tinubu’s ‘fall’ at Eagle Square

Dada Olusegun, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, has responded to the President’s slip while boarding a parade vehicle during the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.

In a post on his official handle on Wednesday, Olusegun sought to reassure the public, stating, “Mr. President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues.”

The statement came in the wake of videos circulating online, showing President Tinubu momentarily losing his footing while stepping into the vehicle.

Despite the incident, the President swiftly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings without further disruption.

The ceremony at Eagle Square was a significant event in the series of celebrations held nationwide to mark Nigeria’s annual Democracy Day.
