Former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed sympathy towards President Bola Tinubu following an unfortunate incident at the Eagle Square during a parade on Democracy Day.
Videos circulating online depicted President Tinubu momentarily losing his footing while boarding a parade vehicle during the June 12 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.
However, the President swiftly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings without further disruption.
Reacting to the incident, Atiku took to his official handle on Wednesday, stating, “I sincerely sympathize with President Bola Tinubu, @officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him.”
