The Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota, Dr David Oyedepo, has appealed to parents and guardians to help ensure their children and wards align with the institution’s training mode.
He spoke during the university’s 19th matriculation ceremony for the 2020/2021 academic session, maintaining that the institution remains committed to empowering students through qualitative education that would help to solve the nation’s challenges.
Oyedepo said “I admonish all parents and guardians, to help in ensuring that their sons, daughters and wards align with the training mode at Covenant University which is to raise a new generation of leaders through a qualitative and life-applicable training system that focuses on value and skill development.
“The nation needs to invest and focus more on capacity building to surmount some of the country’s challenges.
“We are raising a new generation of leaders through a broad-based qualitative education built on sound biblical principles, culminating in the birth of path-finders, pace-setters and trail-blazers.”
Speaking also, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo said the school was committed to making its graduates expert thinkers, leaders, managers, and hyper resourceful technocrats.
