Channels TV’s presenters, Chamberlain Usor and Kayode Okikiolu have been summoned to Abuja by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) over the interview with the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
The TV station has earlier been queried over the interview.
The NBC said it queried Channels Tv due to “inciting, divisive and unfair comments” made by Governor Ortom during a programme, ‘Sunrise Daily’ on Tuesday.
Ortom had during the interview alleged President Muhammadu Buhari of plans to “fulanize Nigeria, but he is not the first Fulani president”.
The presenters’ invitation was confirmed to Daily Post by a source in the TV station, saying that the presenter were already on their way to Abuja to honour the NBC’s invitation.
”They were invited because of the interview with Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom. I don’t have much details yet”, the source said.
