Gombe United has become the first team to be relegated from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) this season, with four matches still remaining.

The team’s relegation was confirmed today after a series of poor performances left them unable to escape the bottom of the league table.

Gombe United has struggled throughout the season, winning only a few matches and losing many more. Despite their efforts to improve, they couldn’t turn things around and will now play in the Nigerian National League (NNL) next season.

Fans and club officials are disappointed, but they are already looking ahead to rebuild and aim for a quick return to the NPFL. The team is determined to learn from this experience and come back stronger.

As the season continues, attention now shifts to the remaining teams still fighting to avoid relegation and those competing for the championship.

Meanwhile, Gombe United will focus on planning for a successful future.
