Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Wednesday said that he Federal Executive Council did not discuss issue relating to the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami’s alleged affiliation with Islamic terrorist organisations.
The weekly meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nigerians have been calling for Pantami’s resignation over his past comment supporting terrorist groups, including the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
However, after the FEC meeting on Wednesday, Mohammed told newsmen when asked if the council discussed Patami’s issue, “I am not going to go into the issue of whether the government is comfortable or not.
“I will answer your question directly. It (Pantami’s issue) was not discussed at the council meeting.”
