The Kaduna residence of the embatlled terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu, has been raided by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Operatives of the secret police stormed the residence in about 20 vehicles in the early hours of Thursday and raided it, seizing laptops and documents.
“They ransacked the house and carted away documents, phones and laptops. Those in the house were ordered to sign a document which they did not read before the officers took it back,” a source said.

Mamu was on Tuesday arrested in Egypt while he was on his way to Saudi Arabia with his family members.
On Wednesday, he was repatriated to Nigeria and upon his arrival tat Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, was arrested by the DSS.
According to security sources, Mamu was nabbed over his alleged involvement in collecting ransom and taking same to terrorists in exchange for Kaduna-train kidnapped victims.
After his arrest, the DSS in a statement by its spokesman, Peter Afunanya said the development followed “a request by Nigeria’s Military, Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community to their foreign partners to bring back Mamu to the country to answer critical questions on ongoing investigations relating to some security matters in parts of the country. The public may wish to note that the law will appropriately take its course.”
