The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said on Wednesday morning that Nigeria recorded 357 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Of the states, Rivers State recorded 170 new cases while Lagos, the epicentre of the pandemic in Nigeria recorded no new case.
NCDC in the latest update said six more people were killed by the disease in the country.
In the cases recorded on Tuesday but made public on Wednesday, Ondo had 38, Gombe – 34, Ogun – 20, and Ekiti – 20.
Others are FCT – 18, Anambra – 16, Oyo – 13, Kwara – 10, Imo – six, Bayelsa – six, and Edo – six.
With the latest update, Nigeria now has a total confirmed case of 183,444 from 2,648,684 tested samples.
Out of the confirmed number 167,459 people had been treated and discharged while 2,229 deaths have been recorded in all 36 states and the FCT.
