With the recent surge in the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, the Federal government has hinted of its plan to reopen National Centre for Disease Control Isolation centres nationwide.
Recall that on Thursday in Abuja, General Officer Commanding, 16 Division, Port Harcourt, Gen. Irefin died of Covid-19 complication.
Also, to curtail the spread, the NCDC had in a statement warned against the holding of Christmas carol or songs cantata during this period.
In a related development, states in the South-Eastern part of the country have warned indigenes against unnecessary travels during the Christmas period.
FirstNews in its findings gathered that some states of the federation have converted their isolation centres to Primary Health Care centres.
The decision, as reliably informed was sequel to drastic reduction in the spread of the virus.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State had during one of his official outings announced the conversation of the Isolation centre in Olodo, Ibadan and Oke-Ogun areas to Primary Health care centres in order to meet the medical needs of the people.
