The Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, has congratulated the Governor-elect of Anambra State, Charles Soludo.
He said he had no intention to challenge the outcome of the state’s last Saturday governorship election results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Ubah, who spoke in a statement on Wednesday, called on others who contested the seat to congratulate Soludo and in the path of honour, refrain from contesting the results in court.
Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was declared winner of the last Saturday election by INEC on Wednesday morning, after a supplementary election was held on Tuesday, in Ihiala.
Ubah, who currently represents Anambra South senatorial district, came fourth in the election.
According to him, the outcome of the election was not what the YPP expected and worked so hard for.
Ubah said that regardless of the purported anomalies witnessed across numerous polling units during the poll, the collective interest of the Anambra people must be the paramount focus.
