Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Wednesday, reiterated that the Federal Government would not share the £4.2million looted fund recovered from James Ibori, a former governor of Delta State.
He affirmed this while speaking on the Channels Television’s Politics Today, saying that sharing the money with the state would breach the agreement reached with the United Kingdom Government concerning the disbursement of the fund.
FirstNews had reported that the Federal Government confirmed receipt of £4,214,017.66 of the looted fund from the UK.
“The way international diplomatic processes operate with particular regard to the recovery of looted assets is more or less about engagement among the nations of interest,” he said.
