Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa has said that the anti-graft agency would prosecute a former governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, all over again.
Bawa spoke with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
He said that Kalu “will be prosecuted all over again.”
Kalu was convicted by the Court of Appeal for financial corruption when he served as the governor of Abia State. But the Supreme Court later set him free on technical grounds.
Bawa also said that the commission would soon state prosecution of 800 new corruption cases.
