…ransack Sambisa Forest
A sub-faction of Boko Haram loyal to Abubakar Shekau, on Friday, ransacked the Sambisa/Timbuktu area to attack ISWAP forces.
Shekau’s loyalists were led by one Ba Koura from the Lake Chad islands to confront ISWAP forces, who two days ago captured the Boko Haram leader, who later blew himself and some other fighters holding him hostage up inside the forest.
Friday’s search by the Boko Haram leader’s loyalists for ISWAP fighters inside Sambisa was in retaliation for Wednesday’s invasion of the group’s stronghold as well as Shekau’s death, an online news platform, HumAngle reported.
