Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was on Saturday quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged misappropriation of public funds and money laundering.
FirstNews gathered that Saraki arrived at the EFCC office around 2pm.
As at the time this report was filed, it was not clear if the anti-graft agency will keep the former Senate president in its custody or allow him to return home this Saturday.
Sources claimed that Saraki is accused of hiring suspected proxies when he was the governor of Kwara State and awarded contracts to them to execute and allegedly had them made returns to him for many years.
The funds involved in the alleged corrupt act run into hundreds of millions in naira and hundreds of thousands in foreign currencies.
