Popular Teen actress Angel Unigwe has initiated legal proceedings against the legendary actor Kanayo O Kanayo for alleged breach of contract.
This follows Kanayo’s public accusation on the 21st of June, 2024, via social media, claiming Angel had not fulfilled a production contract they had signed.
The actor also alleged that Angel’s mother has a history of prematurely removing her from sets, and he threatened to interfere with any future movie productions involving Angel.
In response, Juliet Kings Unigwe, Angel’s mother, denounced Kanayo’s allegations as untrue and defamatory in a statement posted on Angel’s Instagram page on the 26th of June, 2024.
“First, for the public record we wish to state categorically that we hold sacred the terms of any contract we enter into and we are fully committed to performing all lawful obligations required of us under such contracts.
“We vehemently deny the false accusations and slanderous statements contained in Mr. Kanayo’s video. We want to assure the public that we have done no such thing and are deeply hurt by these unfounded allegations.”she said.
She also mentioned that legal steps have been initiated, urging security agencies to intervene and ensure Angel’s safety.
