A former Kogi West lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, has said that Governor Yahaya Bello is only qualified to be a town union president.
Governor Bello is among Nigerian politicians with ambition to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Recently, the All Progressives Congress in North Central asked the Kogi State governor to drop his presidential ambition and support the zone’s quest to produce the national chairman of the ruling party.
But in a tweet on his verified Twitter account on Saturday, Melaye, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, threw a jibe at Bello, saying that he was not qualified to be Nigeria’s president.
“Governor Yahaya Bello cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure. You can only be the president of Agasa Development Union in Okene. Yeye dey smell. SDM,” Melaye wrote.
