…as Tunde Kelani delivers Masterclass to mass communication students

The Nigerian Film Corporation has selected 10 students from the Department of Mass Communication at the Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to participate in the 11th edition of SHOOT coming up in Abuja in May 2022.
A letter referenced NFC/HQ/OP/452/11 and addressed to the Head of Department of Mass Communication unveiled that “SHOOT! Training Workshop Programme is a specialised practical film-training workshop designed to expose emerging talents to the latest film production techniques.
“The training programme is to acquaint students with recent production techniques available globally”, Director of Film Production and Industry Support Services, Edmund Peters, explained.
In a related development, the ace film producer and cinematographer, Mr Tunde Kelani has offered to hold masterclasses for students of the university.
He stated this in his appreciation letter of 12th April, 2022 addressed to the Registrar, Barr. Zakariyya Ajibola on Tunde Kelani’s recent Community Award for his contributions to cultural heritage through film and cinematography.
He was one of recipients of the 2022 Bola Ajibola Community Award of Excellence given to personalities who have distinguished themselves in different endeavours.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, has lauded Mr Tunde Kelani for the nomination of his film “Ayinla” as Best Feature Narrative at Palm African Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Prof. Gbajabiamila said he was proud of the consultancy role of Dr Kola Adesina for his professional partnership with Mr Tunde Kelani during the production of the epic film.
