Actress Linda Osifo has explained why most women in Nolllywood appear to be more successful than their male counterparts.
The amazing actress, speaking in a recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbin’ Minds, cited that the females in the Nolllywood industry are more open to more avenues to make extra cash than the male.
According to her, actresses tend to get ambassadorial deals and opportunities from different brands more than the male.
She said, “As a woman compared to a man I have more options to get more jobs than a man.
“I can advertise hair, wigs, shoes and a wide range of clothes from brands which most men cannot. The ratio of men to women is 1:3 which makes the market wider for us.
“I’ve become a brand ambassador to skincare brands and that’s an industry that men don’t dominate and conquer so, this is how women are more successful. Women have more opportunities to make money.”
Also while addressing the society’s mentality about actresses, Osifo stated that it is disreputable to always presume that most actresses have illicit affairs to get what they have, a whole lot of them strive to earn their living legitimately.
She said the notion of some people that the Nolllywood industry is not lucrative is false.
Actresses like Toyin Abraham have tried to dispel the notion that industry is not lucrative.
Recall that the ‘Fate of Alakada’ crooner (Abraham), sometime around February shared in an Instagram post that some of the actress charge up to N5 million to feature in a movie.
