President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday, ruled out the possibility of a political solution in the case of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu
Buhari stated this while speaking during an interview on Channels Television.
The IPOB leader is undergoing trial on charges of treasonable felony preferred against him by the Federal Government.
Kanu-led IPOB has been at the forefront of the campaigns for the Republic of Biafra.
Recall that South-East traditional and religious leaders had in November last year pleaded with President Buhari Kanu amnesty in order to defuse tension in the region.
But during the interview, while responding to a question on the trial of the IPOB leader, President Buhari said, “I wouldn’t dare interfere with the judiciary.”
