Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has requested the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho.
The role interpreter in a post shared via his Instagram page on Tuesday, urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to employ dialogue in their cases to establish peace and unity in the country.
His post read: “I appeal to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho and follow the line of dialogue and peace
“A country that already has so many challenges facing it, the use of dialogue in this issue will go a long way in establishing peace and unity.”
Recall that the IPOB leader was arrested in July 2021 in Kenya and was repatriated to Nigeria to continue his trial.
Also, the Nigerian government re-arraigned him before Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court last week.
The Yoruba Nation agitator, on the other hand, is facing trial in the Benin Republic after he was arrested while attempting to travel to Germany. Sunday Igboho and his wife left Nigeria, after the Department of State Services, DSS, declared him wanted over guns allegedly found in his house
