Nigeria Labour Congress President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba has responded to the news of being declared wanted by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
He dared the governor to come and arrest him, saying he was waiting.
FirstNews reported that El-Rufai had declared Wabba and other leaders of NLC wanted following the protest in the state on Monday by workers in the state.
The workers led by Wbba and other national leaders of the NLC issued El-Rufai five days warning strike to rescind his decision to sack workers in the state.
The activities of the workers on Monday grounded economic and social activities in the state as workers in the railway, aviation, medical sector and others joined the protest.
In his response El-Rufai wrote on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, “Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act. Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”
But Daily Trust quoted Wabba to have replied, “Let him (El-Rufai) come and arrest me. We are here and waiting for them.”
Wabba made the challenge, while leading the protest of workers to the Kaduna State Government House on Tuesday.
