Two days to the end of the Continuous Voter Registration in the country, the All Progressives Congress has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the deadline for the exercise.
The ruling party equally pleaded that INEC should create more registration centres in the North West.
The call was made by the APC North West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mailafia Mada, after a meeting with the party’s Publicity Secretary in the zone held in Kaduna on Friday.
According to Mailafia, there are still many people yet to be registered as a result of shortage of centres.
“As a political party, we are calling on INEC to look inward and extend the registration exercise to enable more people to register. We also want them to create more registration centres,” he said.
