The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was referred to as a political general by the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, on Friday.
A high-ranking military officer is called a general. Bello told Tinubu that the party would win the upcoming election in February at the APC National Youth Town Hall, which was hosted by the organization in Abuja.
He said that Tinubu is a general that other politicians can learn from. Bello told Tinubu not to be alarmed and pointed out that young Nigerians are firmly in support of his agenda.
“Don’t trouble yourself sir. Nigeria youths asked me to tell you that you have won the election”.
According to Bello, Jagaban is a good product which does not need to be marketed,
“You are a product that has marketed yourself. A product that is good, does not need to be marketed again. God will take away every obstacle that will hinder your victory.”
Bello joked with the audience that he wants to grow up to be Asiwaju since Tinubu needs Nigerians just as much as they need him.
“When I grow up I will like to be Asiwaju. We need you as much as you need us. You will win this election in a landslide,” he said.
The governor of Kogi State also explained why Tinubu joined the race, saying he is the nation’s savior.
“You are here to rescue this country,” he added.
