Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, again on Saturday lashed out at has his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He described Atiku as selfish and an ingrate by his decision to run in the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu, who spoke in Yoruba while addressing a mammoth crowd of his supporters at the APC presidential rally at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, urged the people to retire Atiku with their PVC in 2023 so that the PDP presidential flagbearer would stop contesting.
While taking a jab at Atiku, Tinubu described the former vice president as a selfish and ungrateful person who has been running since 1999.
Speaking in Yoruba, the APC presidential flagbearer said, “I know of one man. His name is Atiku, he’s selfish. I know there are many articulated vehicles in Apapa. He’s always contesting, running for president. Use your PVCs to retire him from politics in 2023.
“Their government was there for 16 years, they didn’t do anything for Nigerians. They didn’t do the Badagry road, they didn’t do the PortHarcourt East-West road and others.
“He ran under PDP. He ran in ACN (Action Congress of Nigeria), we accepted him. He is selfish, he’s an ingrate. He is not supposed to run again. Use your vote to retire him.”
Tinubu also vowed to carry on with the progressive policies of the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration, vowing to carry all Nigerians along.
The APC presidential hopeful described the forthcoming election as a broom revolution, which would consume the opposition elements.
