…says ‘pick who you want, heaven won’t fall’
Bola Ahmed Tinubu Admirers’ Movement (BATAM) has urged All Progressive Congress’ Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to pick whoever he wants as his running-mate, be he or she a Muslim or Christian.”
According to a statement issued by the organisation’s President, Evangelist (Dr.) Ibikunle Solana, BATAM believes that Tinubu could “even indeed, pick a Muslim woman from the Northern part of the country as his Vice.”
Solana added, “We sincerely urge you not to be distracted and disturbed by the deafening noise regarding the choice of your Vice-Presidential Candidate.Rather, we enjoin you to remain focus and carefully choose or pick whoever can assist you in winning the 2023 presidential election, work harmoniously with you to deliver the urgently needed dividends of democracy and good governance to Nigerians; thereby bringing joy and rubbing the elusive but much desired smiles on the faces of Nigerians. Truth be told, Nigerians are more interested and are in dare need of credible, focus and honest leaders who will restore Nigeria’s lost glory, put food on their tables, ensure regular electricity supply, provide adequate security across the country and quarranttee a prosperous economy. They are not interested in having religious bigots, tribal and ethnic champions in power, be they Muslim/Christian; Muslim/Muslim or Christian/Christian.”
BATAM said it strongly believed that “If Tinubu picks a Muslim as his vice from the North that will greatly boost his chances of winning the 2023 presidential election and enhance the achievement of his good governance plan. And so shall it be. Heaven will not fall.”
Solana insisted that those threatening that Tinubu should not pick a Muslim running-mate do not mean well for Nigeria.
He stated, “Asiwaju, don’t mind the noise makers who do not wish Nigeria well. Most Nigerians believe in you. They know you mean well for Nigeria and you have the capacity to deliver on your promises.
“Therefore, once again, forget the noise and the noise makers in the market. Focus more and concentrate on your mission and vision for Nigeria. Nigerians will praise you later for a job well done.”
