Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on Friday, assured that the party will go into the 2023 general elections as one united family.
Okowa stated this at the Benue State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, in an interview with newsmen after a closed door meeting with Governor Samuel Ortom.
According to him, the reconciliation process initiated by the leaders of the party to resolve all issues that emanated from the Presidential primaries and his subsequent emergence as the Vice Presidential candidate is ongoing, noting that at the end, “all issues would be resolved.”
Okowa noted that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, was a strong party man who hai worked very hard for the success of the PDP and would not want to defect to another political party.
Governor Ortom in his remarks, corroborated Okowa, saying leaders of the PDP were still discussing to correct whatever that may have gone wrong after the Presidential primaries.
The Benue governor, however, stated that as a critical and major stakeholder of the PDP, Wike needed to be placated to make the reconciliation process easy and smooth.
