Supporters of Peter Obi of the Labour Party have taken over major roads and streets of Lagos and other states of Nigeria to rally support for their prefered candidate in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
The rallies are happening as Nigeria is marking its 62nd Independence Day Anniversary.
In Lagos, Nigerians, especially the youths, are marching in their numbers in Surulere, Festac Town, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, Lekki, Ajah, and several other areas.
Other states across the country where similar rallies is taking place include Edo, Abia State, and Delta, the state of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The rally tagged ‘4Million-man March’ has been peaceful and is still ongoing, with security officers guiding them to ensure peace and order.
