Nollywood mourns loss of veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu

Nollywood has been plunged into mourning following the death of veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu.

The news of her passing on Sunday has cast a pall of sorrow over the Nigerian film industry, as actors, filmmakers, and fans come to terms with the devastating loss and reflect on Ikwuegbu’s significant contributions to Nollywood.

The announcement was made by movie producer Stanley Nwoko, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, on his Instagram page. In his heartfelt post, he revealed that the beloved actress succumbed to her battle with leg cancer.

“Popular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs. Stella Ikwuegbu is dead,” Nwoko wrote.

“The veteran actress left this world today after battling with leg cancer. Rest well, Madam Stella.”

Ikwuegbu’s career spanned several decades, during which she became a household name through her compelling performances in numerous Nollywood films. Her talent, dedication, and charisma left an indelible mark on the industry, earning her a legion of fans and the respect of her peers.
