Bashir Magashi, the Nigerian Minister of Defense, stated that there is no fire without smoke after the US, UK, and numerous other western nations issued a terror alert in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Federal Government believes that the military forces of the country have the situation under control, according to retired general Magashi.
During a budget defense in Abuja, the Minister was speaking to the House of Representatives Committee on Defense.
He noted that Geoffrey Onyeama, the minister of foreign affairs, and the US ambassador to Nigeria are in touch in order to make sure that such material is handled appropriately and later.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Farouk Yahaya, addressed the Senate Committee on Army on Tuesday as well.
He discussed the army’s financial problems and updated the committee on recent military developments.
Both Farouk and Magashi argued against include the military in the envelope budgeting system.
