Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a man with 53 magazines, 260 ammunition and N38,500 cash.
The suspect is believed be be into the twin ‘trade’ of kidnapping and armed robbery
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Command, Ramhan Nansel, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, disclosed in Lafia that, “One man called Likita Abubakar ‘M’ 35 years, was arrested; upon diligent and systematic search, 53 empty magazines, 260 rounds of live ammunition and cash sum of N38,500 were recovered from him as exhibits.
” On 21/8/2021 at about 0900hrs, sequel to information received which indicated that, a suspected criminal who had been on the wanted list of the Nasarawa State Police Command for offences ranging from armed robbery to kidnapping was sighted at Alushi Junction, Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa State, a detachment of Police operatives attached to Akwanga Division were immediately deployed in the area,” he said.
According to him, the State Commissioner of Police, Adesina Soyemi, has ordered that, the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for thorough investigation.
