Former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Wednesday, emerged the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
Kwankaso clinched the NNPP’s presidential ticket at the primary election held in Abuja at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola International Stadium.
The sole NNPP presidential aspirant emerged as the party’s flagbearer after his nomination was validated by the delegates through voice vote.
NNPP’s National Chairman, Dr Boniface Aniebonam, had last Friday at a news conference disclosed that the party’s Special National Convention was just to confirm Kwankwaso as the party’s presidential candidate.
“He (Kwankwaso) is to be returned unopposed. Kwankwaso is a man of God,” Aniebonam had said.
