The House of Representatives on Thursday joined its counterpart at the Red Chamber to urge President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits across the country as terrorists.
Bandits have dominated the North-West and parts of the North-Central geopolitical zones.
The lawmakers at the Senate had made the same call on Wednesday.
Worried by the spate of insecurity by the bandits, Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, on Thursday, moved a motion of urgent public importance to support the Senate on the call.
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila asked if there were those against the motion and the lawmakers chorused, “No!”
The motion was unanimously adopted through a voice vote.
