Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have invaded the Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted the rector of the Federal School of Statistics after killing one person.
FirstNews gathered that the incident occurred after the attackers stormed the village in their numbers.
A source who narrated the incident said, “The terrorists stormed the community at night and killed one person while a lady was kidnapped including the rector.”
The attack came barely three weeks after two Ad hoc staff in charge of distributing mosquito nets were gunned down at Zangang-Zankan road in the same LGA.
According to a resident who spoke with journalists, John, the terrorists stormed the community shooting sporadically before they abducted the victims.
He lamented that security men have not been helping matters as several communities in the local government have been suffering attacks from the gunmen.
He, however, called on the state government to quickly come to their rescue in the hands of the criminals.
Meanwhile, the State Police Spokesman, DSP Mohammed Jalige was not reachable as of press time.
