D’Tigers bounced back from their defeat to Cote d’Ivoire with an 89-70 victory over Guinea on Saturday, August 27, to keep their hopes for qualification alive again.
They led in the first quarter with 24-15 points but were held to a draw by the Guineans with 20-20 points each.
The third quarter cemented D’Tigers lead, annihilating their opponents 32-15 to gain a solid lead in the last quarter at the Palais Des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Nigeria will play Angola on Sunday, August 28, to further heighten their qualification chance for next year’s FIBA Basketball World Cup.
