Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development (CeProd) has elected the Public Relations Officer of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Nigeria, Mr Idris Katib, a fellow of the Centre.
Katib was awarded Fellowship of CeProd alongside six other members after hours of rigorous workshop on productivity held at the Sheraton Hotels, Lagos.
The Fellowship is the highest professional status of the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development to be conferred on any member.
Presenting the certificates, transcripts and plaques, the Director-General of CeProd, Dr Chris Egbu, said, “In recognition of your professional standing and demonstrated commitment in creating, maintaining, extending and promoting the highest world standards in productivity and economy growth, the Board of Trustees and Governing Council of the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development elects Idris Kolawole Katib,FCP as Fellow.”
In a citation submitted to CeProd for the induction, Katib was described as “a multiple certified Public Relations expert, writer and swordsmith with over 100 published online professional articles and two (online) academic publications in Communication, PR, Journalism, Advertising, Branding, Publishing, Speechwriting, Book Reviews, Music, Healthcare and allied matters.
Egbu explained that only 60 fellows of CeProd had been elected through supervised and screened recommendations in the past, describing it as a rigorous Fellowship rather than an honorary Fellowship award.
Other inducted members are Adeyemo Abioye, Edith Okechukwu, Sunday Aguora, Seye Obisesan, Kingsley Edeh and Egbute Cletus, while a senior Fellow of the Centre and Chief Executive of Kampe Valley Mining Company, Alhaja Rashidat Ladoja, motivated the new Fellows on Productivity Professional Course lectures, earlier.
In a lecture theme with the theme, “Productivity Secrets of Highly Successful Professionals and Entrepreneurs–What Works in Nigeria,” the Guest Lecturer, who is a CeProd Council member, Dr Joshua Olusesan, urged the newly inducted members to be continuously productive through efficient management of their time and by avoiding procrastination.
