Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has declared the National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ayuba Wabba and other leaders of the union wanted.
El-Rufai, in a tweet on his official Twitter page on Tuesday morning, said: “Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act.
“Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!”
Wabba had on Monday led Kaduna State NLC to protest over the governor’s recent sack of thousands of state and local government civil servants.
The protest disrupted economic and other activities in the state.
The Labour union during the protest handed El-Rufai’s government five days to reverse the sack of the workers or face industrial action.
But the Kaduna State government said that the five-day warning strike, which began on Monday, would not distract its plan to ‘rightsize’ the civil service in the state.
